PInk Out is one of the charities that MAWMR has supported for many years with the situation last year, they did not hold their major fundraising event. in 2021, they are holding two events that they wanted to extend the invitation to participate in. Pink Out provides financial assistant to women that are undergoing treatment for women’s cancers. The average award is approximately $4,000 and can be used for anything but a medical bill.
Raffle Prize Drive-Thru | June 10, 2021 – 3pm – 7pm
Raffle tickets are $25 each, 4 tickets per person maximum. Each ticket will receive a prize valued from $25 to $150. Guests will remain in their cars to purchase raffle tickets and receive prizes. Pink Out T-shirts will be available for sale for $20 each. Gates will open at 3pm and close at 7pm or until prizes are gone. Located at 827 Hanover Street, New Oxford, PA 17350. Virtual Auction | June 11, 2021 – 5pm – 10pm
There will be bidding from 5pm until 10pm. The virtual auction can be viewed at pinkoutinc.org and each item is valued between $200-$500. Emails will be sent out Friday evening following the auctions. Prizes will be distributed on Saturday, June 12, 10am to 1pm. Winners must be able to pick up prizes on Saturday at 827 Hanover Street, New Oxford, PA. If alternative arrangements need to be made please email pinkoutinc@yahoo.com.
About Pink Out
Many patients undergoing treatment for women’s cancers face great financial burdens. The Pink Out Women’s Cancer Fund was established in 2007 to provide financial assistance to breast cancer patients in the greater Hanover, PA area. As the fund has grown, support was expanded to women diagnosed with ovarian, endometrial (uterine), and cervical cancers. This Fund will be used to assist with non-medical daily living expenses such as rent, food, and utilities. Included are wigs, prostheses, and special garments not covered by insurance but crucial to improving a patient’s self-esteem and recovery.
The Pink Out Cancer Fund is managed by UPMC Hanover, Social Services Department. Since established many women have had their financial burdens lightened. Pink Out, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of caring individuals receiving no compensation for their involvement in the organization.
