Friday – The Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat Tour

Enjoy a 45-minute ride down the Susquehanna River, in the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat. The best way to view the Harrisburg skyline and learn about the unique local history and ecology. The riverboat will be exclusively reserved for up to 120 MAWMR Rally participants on this cruise. ONLY a few spots left!

The Pride is one of only 6 remaining “authentic” paddlewheel riverboat in the United States. This means that the Pride ONLY uses the paddle wheels for both propulsion and steering.  There are no propellers, rudders or other forms of propulsion or steering. Truly a gem in our modern world!

The interior of the Pride is a beautiful collection of mahogany woodwork, brass and copper, custom stained-glass ceilings, and mirrored walls. The bar at the front of the vessel is completely covered in copper with brass tacks, reminiscent of old-time riverboats from the 1800s!

The tour costs $10 and the riverboat departs at 11 am sharp. The total time to participate is approximately 3 hours round trip from the hotel from 9:30 am -12:30 pm.

Saturday – Turkey Hill Experience

The Turkey Hill Experience features interactive exhibits allowing you to learn about dairy culture, the story of Turkey Hill Dairy, and how the company’s ice cream and iced tea flavors are selected and created.

You will truly experience what it’s like to be a Turkey Hill Dairy ice cream maker for a day, including the opportunity to create your own virtual ice cream flavor. In addition, you can sit in our vintage milk truck, milk our mechanical cows, star in your very own Turkey Hill commercial, and enjoy plenty of free samples of iced tea and ice cream!

The Turkey Hill Experience costs $17 to participate including the flavor lab. The total time to participate is approximately 4 hours round trip from the hotel, 9am-1pm.
